About the position

The Account Executive at WFTS in Tampa, FL, is responsible for driving advertising sales through creative and effective marketing solutions. Responsibilities

  • Sell advertising solutions to local and regional businesses and advertising agencies.
  • Apply the Scripps Sales Process (SSP) to analyze customer needs and apply customized advertising solutions.
  • Facilitate the customer's ability to utilize digital marketing options alongside television commercial airtime sales.
  • Independently prospect, secure appointments, perform needs analysis, and develop customized solutions.
  • Negotiate program ratings and advertising rates with advertising agencies to maximize revenue.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing best-in-class customer service and growing accounts.
  • Perform client services including media avail negotiations, presentation preparation, and revenue collection.
  • Manage a sales funnel using CRM systems and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Contribute to the creative development of campaigns through client communication and needs analysis.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, including entertaining clients.
  • Perform routine administrative functions of a media salesperson.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience.
  • 2+ years of proven sales success preferred.
  • Experience in strategic account management, broadcast ratings, and digital execution preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
