About the position

The Account Executive at Gannett is responsible for building relationships with local businesses to assist them with their advertising and digital marketing strategies. This role involves leveraging a suite of marketing solutions to drive results for clients, focusing on digital marketing and advertising within the media industry. The position offers a base salary plus uncapped commission, extensive training, and opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with local businesses to assist with advertising and digital marketing plans.
• Develop partnerships with large local businesses and assist them in reaching their goals through integrated marketing plans.
• Identify customer needs to develop and execute account plans and custom client solutions.
• Pursue and close new business and revenue streams.
• Retain, manage, and grow clients in the digital landscape.
• Conduct face-to-face customer meetings, presentations, proposals, and demonstrations.
• Utilize CRM (Salesforce) effectively to record all sales activity.
• Manage a specified sales pipeline and develop a strategy for long-term success.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in high acquisition, consultative B2B Sales role.
• Proficiency in Digital Marketing, including Google AdWords and Analytics (certifications preferred but not required).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with analytics and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies such as Virtual and Augmented Reality.
