About the position

The Account Executive at Republic Services is responsible for identifying leads and proactively selling new and profitable business within a designated geographic area. This role involves selling a comprehensive suite of products, including waste and recycling solutions, and requires regular engagement with prospective clients to deliver sales presentations and close deals. The Account Executive plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth and enhancing customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies viable leads, manages prospects, and acquires new, profitable commercial, industrial, and recycling business to meet and exceed monthly revenue goals.
  • Follows up on leads received by Lead Generators within 2 hours and creates follow-up tasks in Salesforce.
  • Utilizes Salesforce daily to schedule and document activities, developing robust profiles on prospective customers.
  • Prepares and delivers sales presentations to prospective clients and follows up with key decision makers to close sales.
  • Completes scheduled phone blocks and cold call prospecting to establish appointments with decision-makers.
  • Maintains awareness of market behavior and competitive trends to anticipate changing customer needs.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of the company's services, pricing structures, and offers additional services to grow targeted revenue.
  • Completes required Customer Service Agreements and other paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Regularly meets with Sales Manager to review customer retention activities and progress versus goals.
  • Builds relationships and increases company visibility through participation in company-sponsored activities and community events.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of direct selling experience in a customer-facing role that includes identifying and addressing customer needs.
  • Valid driver's license.
