About the position

The Account Executive role at SS&C involves driving business growth in a fast-paced environment focused on expanding market share within an under-covered territory. The position requires building relationships with key decision-makers, managing sales campaigns, and presenting tailored solutions to clients. The role emphasizes a data-driven approach to identify business opportunities and maintain a strong sales pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Research key accounts to assess business opportunities using a data-driven approach.
  • Identify and establish relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in target accounts.
  • Create and manage telephone and email prospecting campaigns for new business.
  • Lead solution discovery to understand client requirements, objectives, and priorities.
  • Present SS&C Intralinks business solutions using appropriate sales techniques, including team and/or consultative presentations.
  • Regularly meet with clients in person, sometimes requiring travel, to build superior relationships.
  • Work with senior management and corporate counsel to negotiate contracts and provide follow-up to deliver signed contracts.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and forecast to increase visibility of short and long-term prospects through our CRM system Salesforce.
  • Meet agreed quarterly/annual performance in both client activity and quota achievement.
  • Collaborate with other SS&C Intralinks businesses and sales teams on joint efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience and 3 years of quota-bearing experience in software or technology sales.
  • Strong knowledge of M&A, alternative investments, and broader financial services industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to speak publicly to groups.
