About the position

The Account Executive position at Spindustry is a dynamic role focused on driving business growth through the identification and cultivation of new business opportunities, as well as the maintenance and expansion of relationships with existing clients. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our SharePoint team, working closely with SharePoint consultants to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions through the sale of SharePoint Governance, Implementation Services, Custom Development, and ongoing support. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, with a strong emphasis on building relationships, particularly with C-Level executives, and effectively negotiating and closing deals. In this position, the Account Executive will be responsible for sourcing new sales opportunities through various channels, including inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails. Attending vertical industry conferences to network and follow up with prospects is also a key responsibility. The candidate will need to identify and understand customer needs and requirements, pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and networking, and qualify leads while coordinating with the consulting team to develop compelling proposals and presentations. The role also involves maintaining and expanding relationships with key accounts, achieving sales targets, and contributing to the overall growth of the company. The Account Executive will collaborate with the consulting team to ensure that current projects are on track and to identify areas for additional sales, making this a multifaceted position that combines sales acumen with project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Attending vertical industry conferences and following up with prospects developed at the conferences
  • Identifying and understanding customer needs and requirements
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and lead generation activities
  • Qualifying leads and coordinating with the consulting team to develop proposals and presentations
  • Negotiating and closing deals with new and existing clients
  • Maintaining and expanding relationships with key accounts
  • Achieving sales targets and contributing to the overall growth of the company
  • Working with the consulting team to ensure current projects are on track, and to identify areas for additional sales

Requirements

  • Proven track record in software technology sales, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of the SharePoint platform and its capabilities is a plus, but not a requirement
