About the position

The Account Executive in Personal Lines is responsible for cultivating, growing, and retaining client accounts, ensuring high levels of service and client satisfaction. This role involves managing a book of business, driving the renewal process, and developing new accounts while maintaining a strong retention rate for policies and premiums.

Responsibilities

• Manage a book of business with a high level of service to ensure retention and client satisfaction.
• Drive the renewal process, working closely with Risk Advisors and Account Manager as needed.
• Maintain a 95% policy and premium retention on an annual basis for the assigned client book.
• Refer current and prospective clients to other services within Hummel Group.
• Lead and direct exposures of clients and prospects, quoting, reviewing insurance company quotations, preparing proposals, and presenting them.
• Develop new accounts and new lines of coverage for existing accounts.
• Communicate with underwriters regarding eligibility or changes to maintain profitability for the carrier and agency.
• Respond to sales and service requests with same-day follow-up expected.
• Set up annual reviews for clients to ensure satisfaction.
• Support and adhere to agency goals and objectives to place and retain business with clients.
• Minimize the agency's error and omission exposure through adherence to procedures.
• Provide outstanding customer service and teamwork, assisting others in acquiring and perfecting these skills.
• Serve as a backup to sales and claims staff as needed.
• Travel offsite to meet with clients and insurance company underwriters.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of Personal Lines products and previous experience in personal insurance accounts.
• College Degree is preferred.
• Must obtain State of Ohio licensure for property and casualty before employment.
• Maintain ongoing education to keep licensure current.
• Must have a current driver license and an insurable driving record.
• Possession of or plan to obtain CIC designation.
