About the position

The Account Executive is responsible for managing all sales activities from lead generation to closing deals. This role focuses on developing and implementing strategies to expand the customer base while ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving revenue goals. The Account Executive collaborates with various teams to provide high-quality service and support to clients in the gas compression and oil/gas industry.

Responsibilities

• Establish positive relationships with current and potential clients in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with the valve shop, manufacturing, and machine shop to ensure quality service for clients.
• Develop and maintain a sales route through regular personal visits with clients and support staff.
• Submit weekly call reports detailing customer-related activities.
• Complete and submit expense reports to management weekly.
• Gather and update client equipment lists and contact information.
• Assist clients with compressor problems efficiently.
• Sell M&J services and products at every opportunity.
• Facilitate client training schools and presentations on M&J's value.
• Secure jobs from existing and potential customers through personal visits or communication.
• Prepare proposals for customer requirements with management approval.
• Follow up on submitted quotations to customers.
• Establish professional relationships with customer personnel.
• Perform all assigned duties in the sales territory with minimal supervision.
• Represent the company at trade shows and industry gatherings.
• Estimate delivery dates based on production schedules.
• Obtain documentation for new customer accounts and assist in collections of past due invoices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or a minimum of 3 years' experience in the gas compression or oil/gas industry.
• Mechanical skills and product knowledge related to the industry.
• Outside sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid state motor vehicle operator's license.
