About the position

The B2B Account Executive is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with assigned business clients, focusing on driving revenue growth through effective account management, identifying new sales opportunities, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This role involves developing and executing tailored sales strategies, collaborating with internal teams, and contributing to the overall sales objectives of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of assigned B2B accounts, ensuring strong relationships and effective communication with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement account plans to achieve sales targets and growth objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to increase account revenue and value.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, addressing their needs and providing solutions to meet their business objectives.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with clients to review account performance, address any issues, and explore opportunities for additional business.
  • Maintain a high level of client satisfaction through proactive communication and problem resolution.
  • Create and execute tailored sales strategies for each account, aligning with the client's needs and company goals.
  • Lead sales presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations to secure new business and renew existing contracts.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer support teams to deliver effective solutions and support to clients.
  • Monitor account performance metrics and provide regular updates to the Sales Manager on revenue progress and growth opportunities.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports on account status, including sales performance and forecasted revenue.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual business reviews for clients.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions that may impact client needs and sales opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams on market trends and client feedback to enhance product offerings and marketing strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Work closely with team members and other departments to ensure seamless execution of account management activities.
  • Share insights and best practices with colleagues to improve overall team performance.
  • Participate in regular sales meetings to discuss progress, strategies, and any challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • 6-8+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or a related role, with a focus on strategic accounts.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of the B2B sales process, including lead generation, qualification, and closing.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Intermediate in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics tools.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
