The Account Executive for Architectural Interiors is a pivotal role focused on maintaining high quality control standards through lean business practices and continuous training and education, as defined in our mission statement. This position supports the sales efforts while overseeing direct reports, ensuring that all operations align with the company's strategic goals. The Account Executive will be responsible for preparing comprehensive cost summaries for projects, which include labor, equipment, materials, subcontracts, overhead, taxes, insurance, markup, and any other costs that may impact the project. This role requires a keen understanding of production and processing, as well as the ability to read and interpret complex drawings, ensuring that all project specifications are met accurately and efficiently. In addition to cost estimation, the Account Executive will work closely with various departments, including Drafting, Project Management, and Purchasing, to monitor project budgets and schedules. They will coordinate kick-off meetings for awarded projects and are expected to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales expectations as agreed upon during budget preparation. The role also involves assessing specific accounts to target with executive management for the budgeted year, managing individual capacities to service respective accounts, and processing PCOs in a timely manner with the assistance of estimators. Maintaining a visual whiteboard of all active, pending, and future bids is essential, as is fostering positive relationships with accounts through effective communication. The Account Executive will also be responsible for developing annual reviews and developmental plans for estimators, identifying new opportunities for growth, and handling accounts receivable collections when necessary. This position requires a strong work ethic, dependability, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will possess good computer skills and be able to multi-task while working as part of a team.
