About the position

The Account Executive at Allied Electric Sign & Awning is a dynamic role focused on generating new business and maintaining client relationships in the custom sign and awning manufacturing industry. This position is responsible for managing the entire sales process, from lead generation to contract closure, while providing tailored solutions to commercial customers. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a proven track record in outside sales, particularly in related industries.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, providing excellent customer service and consultation.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations to clients, showcasing custom signage and awning solutions.
  • Work with design and production teams to create customized proposals and quotes tailored to clients' needs.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, track sales activities in CRM, and provide regular updates to management.
  • Negotiate contract terms and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Ensure smooth project hand-off to production and installation teams, addressing any client concerns as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and customer needs to continuously improve the sales process.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in the signage, awning, construction, or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
