About the position

The Account Executive role at Fern involves providing exceptional service to exhibitors throughout their events, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish. This position requires a blend of customer service, sales, and operational skills, with a focus on building relationships and managing accounts effectively. The role is based in Seattle and requires on-site presence as well as travel to various events.

Responsibilities

  • Building industry relationships that lead to sales referrals and introductions.
  • Performing regular budgeting, scheduling, and sales projections associated with account assignments to management.
  • Maintaining an ongoing budget and fiscal account of the costs associated with producing events.
  • Converting sales leads into lifelong Fern Exposition clients.
  • Growing a book of business through a disciplined sales effort.
  • Serving as the client's primary point of contact following acceptance of an agreement or assignment of an account.
  • Communicating our product/service offerings and partner network to accurately inform prospects and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in sales, operations, or customer service.
  • Experience in trade shows, live events, or related industries preferred.
  • Proven client relationship and service delivery experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM (Salesforce preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
