About the position

The Account Executive at FirstLight Fiber plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth and acquiring new business. This consultative sales position focuses on building relationships with prospects and existing customers, primarily in the White Plains, NY area. The Account Executive is responsible for managing the entire sales pipeline, negotiating deals, and ensuring customer satisfaction while promoting FirstLight's telecommunications solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and close sales opportunities.
  • Identify the needs of prospects and provide guidance and solution recommendations.
  • Develop mastery of FirstLight's product portfolio and connect client objectives with offerings.
  • Conduct outreach to establish relationships and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Build and expand relationships with Economic Buyers in prospect accounts.
  • Assist prospects in maximizing their investment with FirstLight.
  • Establish oneself as a ‘Trusted Advisor' to prospects.
  • Support in retaining newly acquired customers and expanding footprint through cross/up sell opportunities.
  • Stay informed about competition and competitive issues.
  • Provide regular reporting of pipeline and forecast through the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with peers and management to improve the sales organization.
  • Provide expertise on industry best practices and high-level strategies.
  • Bring innovative ideas to the internal team and customers.
  • Assist in creating an environment of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and strong business acumen.
  • Partner with sales and pre-sales engagement members to align goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in a telecom or ISP environment.
  • Proven track record of exceeding new logo sales quotas.
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications industry and terminology.
  • Experience selling to Mid-Market to Large Enterprise, Healthcare, and Financial services, with an emphasis on new logo growth, prospecting, and cold calling.
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent.
