About the position

Slingshot Aerospace is seeking an Account Executive to manage relationships with Federal Agencies and Private Sector/Commercial Space companies. This role focuses on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the space domain and the ability to engage with both government and commercial sectors effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new and existing customer relationships and drive revenue from named accounts within government agencies.
  • Maintain long-term relationships and identify additional sales opportunities within these accounts.
  • Develop account plans and strategies focused on expanding within the customer base.
  • Engage with government officials to ensure contract renewals and upsell opportunities.
  • Navigate the procurement process to maintain or expand the current contract portfolio.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams, project managers, and government contacts to ensure smooth execution of contracts.
  • Develop, grow, and foster trusted customer and partner relationships.
  • Develop responses for RFIs, market surveys, white papers, presentations, and customer demonstrations to drive account growth.
  • Measure success through contract renewals, customer satisfaction, account expansion, and revenue growth.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of proven enterprise-level B2B and/or B2G business development experience.
  • Previous experience working with or in the commercial or government space community and respective acquisition organizations.
  • Proven track record of identifying, forecasting, and closing new business opportunities.
  • Working knowledge of budgeting and procurement processes.
  • Proficient in building sales campaigns and strategies; experience developing go-to-market strategies for space-market capabilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the space community.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with US and/or allied country government.
  • Preferred but not required - US (or allied nation) Top Secret Security Clearance.
