About the position

The Account Executive (AE) for the DC Market at inKind is a proactive sales role focused on building relationships with restaurant partners to drive sales and maintain high service levels. The AE is responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and closing new restaurant partnerships while managing the sales cycle from prospecting to onboarding. This position requires strong communication skills, a hospitality mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Source, qualify, and close new inKind restaurant partners to meet or exceed monthly sales quotas
  • Maintain a consistent level of activity to keep a full pipeline, including reviewing old leads and lost opportunities for potential re-engagement
  • Act as a trusted partner and subject matter expert to prospects and customers
  • Work closely with the Onboarding Team to ensure smooth launches for new restaurant partners
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing and demand generation to continuously refine acquisition approach
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential partners to secure future leads and referrals
  • Accurately track and update deals and communications in Salesforce in real time

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a quota exceeding Sales role, preferably in Hospitality, FinTech, or SaaS
  • A hunter mentality with solid Sales and Business acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships quickly
  • Extensive customer network
  • Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator experience

Nice-to-haves

  • 10+ years of experience in a quota exceeding Sales role, preferably in Hospitality, FinTech, or SaaS
  • Experience working with restaurants or food-related entities/clients
  • Experience in a start-up environment is a plus
