About the position

The Account Executive at McKinstry is responsible for bringing in new clients and ensuring client retention and renewal through quality service delivery and relationship management. This role focuses on helping clients understand the benefits of preventative building maintenance while identifying expansion opportunities and managing client expectations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue expansion opportunities for existing clients.
• Contact current and potential clients to gain opportunities to bid on maintenance agreements.
• Set strategies for primary accounts by interviewing clients to learn about the organization, influencers, and the decision-making process.
• Create customized client packages for preventative services and manage repairs.
• Coordinate overall product/project delivery schedule, client deliverables, and cross-department deliverables.
• Ensure client objectives and issues are dealt with thoughtfully and effectively, informing the Strategic Account Manager or Operations Manager of any problems that may arise.
• Consult with the Facility Manager to resolve issues.
• Communicate effectively with Owners, Property Managers, and Subcontractors.
• Communicate necessary information to the Field (Scope, labor, materials, client info).
• Assess and communicate staffing needs to the Facility Operations team.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of business to business sales experience with a track record of achieving challenging sales goals required.
• 3-5 years of experience in account management required.
• A technical aptitude and ability to speak to technical concepts required.
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, or equivalent work experience required.
