About the position

The Account Executive position at NBCUniversal is focused on driving revenue growth across various digital and linear platforms, including NBC Spot On, Peacock, and Telemundo. The role requires strong consultative selling skills to develop solutions that meet client needs, manage agency and advertiser relationships, and ensure successful campaign execution. The AE will be responsible for achieving quarterly revenue targets while building and maintaining relationships with clients in the Houston and Louisiana markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sales revenue from new advertisers and maximize revenue from assigned accounts in Houston and Louisiana.
  • Manage and develop agency and advertiser relationships throughout the sales cycle.
  • Build and present consultative sales presentations that reflect an understanding of clients' business needs.
  • Collaborate with Creative Solutions, Marketing, and Research teams to ensure effective execution of solutions.
  • Maintain expertise in the NBCU portfolio, including Telemundo and digital properties like Peacock.
  • Connect with stakeholders in the buying ecosystem to promote the product portfolio and secure sales.
  • Prospect new business opportunities through industry events and professional networks.
  • Stay informed of industry changes and share market intelligence internally.
  • Participate in team and station projects and special sales events.
  • Communicate quarterly revenue pacing reports and client progress to the Local Sales Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in advertising sales or media (linear and digital).
  • Knowledge of the linear and digital media market.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent driving record and active driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience selling advertising/sponsorships to ad agencies and client-direct.
  • Proven track record of developing new business.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce.com.
  • Self-starter who can thrive in both corporate and start-up environments.
  • Excellent knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and pricing models.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with a team.
  • Exceptional presentation skills in creation and delivery.
