About the position

The Account Executive at Cumulus Media is responsible for managing relationships with local and regional businesses, focusing on revenue growth and the identification of new business opportunities. This role involves providing marketing solutions tailored to client needs, implementing strategic initiatives, and achieving budgeted revenue targets. The ideal candidate will be committed to personal professional development and possess a strong understanding of technology and marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Create and identify client business needs by understanding their goals and market trends.
  • Deliver effective marketing solutions through integrated sales presentations using Cumulus broadcast, digital, and event tactics.
  • Negotiate and close business deals that drive revenue and foster long-term client relationships.
  • Maintain a proficient understanding of Cumulus Media assets and continuously learn about industry advertising opportunities.
  • Represent the full suite of products and services to new and existing clients, including digital assets and social media.
  • Manage time effectively to optimize revenue opportunities and client interactions.
  • Assist in developing creative messaging across various platforms.
  • Prospect and seek new clientele through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
  • Follow corporate procedures for preparing orders, resolving billing issues, and submitting sales reports.
  • Collaborate to create opportunities that represent the brand and help clients succeed.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, social networking platforms, and CRM tools.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Passion for developing new business relationships in an outside sales role.
  • Enjoy presenting sales opportunities and post-sale successes to clients.
  • Strong understanding of lead generation and ability to connect with viable prospects.
  • Comprehension of sales metrics to maintain a constant pipeline of new business.
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Positive, friendly, and collaborative attitude.
  • High energy and passion for sales.
  • Flexible, creative, and curious mindset.
  • 2 years of media sales experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
