About the position

The Account Executive position at BBI Logistics is a full-time role focused on the brokerage aspect of the business. The individual will be responsible for creating and managing their own book of business through proactive communication with carriers and customers. This role requires a competitive spirit and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, making over 80 cold calls daily to generate leads and build relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Creatively self-generate leads and qualify prospects
  • Build relationships with prospects and existing customers by making 80+ cold calls per day
  • Stay up to date on industry trends to provide and negotiate freight costs to customers and carriers
  • Manage freight movement and problem solve in real time by utilizing proprietary TMS software
  • Proactively communicate when resolving issues and provide updates to customers and carriers

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in sales or related field
  • Strong ability to sell and negotiate with confidence
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-stress scenarios
  • Mental endurance to handle rejection and continue pushing through
  • Willingness to work after normal business hours and weekends
