About the position

As an Account Executive at Curaleaf, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the cannabis wholesale program, driving new sales, and managing existing accounts. This position is integral to achieving revenue targets in a rapidly growing industry, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while contributing to the company's mission of quality and innovation in the cannabis sector.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all sales efforts for wholesale accounts throughout the state to achieve monthly and annual sales revenue and gross margin targets.
  • Partner with the local market team to develop state-specific strategies.
  • Conduct sales calls and selling efforts for wholesale accounts.
  • Develop and nurture new accounts and key customer relationships.
  • Develop pipelines, targets, and innovative strategies to increase opportunities and sales in the market.
  • Create and organize promotional events, update sales menus and product availability databases, and execute customer orders.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop promotional plans, campaigns, and educational initiatives to attract new customers.
  • Prepare and present sales reports to track leads and execute follow-up.
  • Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained through sales tools, smart communication, and in-store visits.
  • Stay abreast of industry, customer, and competitive product landscape.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers to understand their needs.
  • Build a strong base of industry expertise.
  • Attend cannabis industry trade shows, conferences, conventions, and other professional events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of professional sales experience, with at least 1 year in a B2B sales channel in cannabis.
  • Solid understanding of the cannabis industry, laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Strong ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Results-oriented, driven, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and organized with excellent communication skills.
  • Proven sales track record in driving revenue and building customer relationships.

  • Software proficiency in Hoodie, Leaflink, Leaftrade, and Microsoft Office Suite.
