About the position

As an Account Executive at Yardi Systems, you will be responsible for driving new business within your assigned territory by selling innovative software solutions. This role involves engaging in extensive prospecting, managing full sales cycles, and building strong relationships with key decision-makers. You will also participate in marketing events and commit to continuous learning through product certifications and performance reports.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in extensive prospecting and identify new sales opportunities within a designated territory.
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of Yardi products, industry trends, and competition to present compelling value propositions to prospects and clients.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key decision makers, gaining a deep understanding of the business needs of each assigned prospect or client.
  • Execute comprehensive sales cycles, encompassing lead generation, discovery, goal setting, pricing, packaging, positioning, RFP management, contract negotiation, licensing, and successful deal closure.
  • Fulfill annual certifications for assigned products in adherence to training guidelines.
  • Expand product knowledge and enhance demonstration skills by effectively presenting solutions to prospects.

Requirements

  • Three plus (3+) years of successful sales experience in software or tech industry.
  • Ability to interface with all levels within the client organization to include individual properties, large portfolios, and other senior leadership and large to mid-sized companies.
  • Prior experience using Client Relationship Management (CRM) tools to track and manage prospect/client activity.
  • Ability to effectively execute sales strategies using a consultative approach and relationship building techniques.
  • Up to 50% travel required.

  • Yardi domain experience
  • Industry expertise in property management (multifamily, commercial or applicable industry)
  • Educational background or experience with accounting principles.
