About the position

The Account Executive at TEGNA Inc. is a dynamic sales role focused on building collaborative relationships and providing customer solutions through an integrated suite of media platforms, including television, digital, and OTT. This position requires a strategic and energetic individual who can effectively prospect and sell a broad set of solutions from TEGNA's extensive market-leading portfolio. The role emphasizes achieving revenue goals and developing new business through creative prospecting and consultative selling.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve all revenue goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Develop a pipeline of new business through consistent and creative prospecting
  • Demonstrate product knowledge and value to prospects and customers
  • Understand local and regional business trends
  • Collaborate with a Media Strategist to develop strategic recommendations and proposals
  • Utilize an Account Manager to provide exceptional customer service and contract fulfillment
  • Use Matrix to manage day to day activity, pipeline and forecasts

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of traditional media, digital marketing or business to business sales experience
  • Self-starter with a documented record of exceeding revenue goals with integrated marketing solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-based sales environment
  • Strong digital sales acumen
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Matrix and WideOrbit experience a plus
  • Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record, reliable transportation and proof of insurance
