About the position

The Account Manager for Automotive Sales at Nidec Motor Corporation serves as the primary liaison between the company and key customer accounts. This remote position focuses on securing new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding existing relationships. The role requires effective communication, negotiation, and strategic planning to meet customer needs and drive sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Seek and secure new business opportunities with key customer accounts
  • Maintain and expand existing business with customer accounts
  • Liaison between customer demands and plant demands
  • Work with the Account Coordinators to manage sales forecasts and resolve commercial issues with key customer accounts
  • Resolve all issues to the complete satisfaction of the customer
  • Create a database of customer knowledge to help build a sales strategy
  • Responsible for commercial negotiation related to delivery and quality issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 3-7 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Basic knowledge of all business disciplines
  • Strong math aptitude
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Strong attention to detail and customer-focused
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time and resources
  • Analytical thinker/problem solver
  • Highly organized and accountable.
