About the position

The Account Manager (AV/Technical Sales) is responsible for managing and expanding the company's client base within the audiovisual (AV) or technical sales sector. This role focuses on developing strategic sales plans, building strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets, with a strong emphasis on understanding industry trends and customer needs. The position offers some hybrid flexibility and a compensation package that includes a generous salary plus commission, with the potential for a six-figure income after the first year.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets for AV or technical products and services.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key clients, including system integrators, IT managers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the company's AV/technical products and services, and stay informed about industry trends and advancements.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand client requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Deliver engaging and informative product presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Prepare and submit detailed sales proposals and quotations, and follow up to close sales.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to upsell and cross-sell to existing clients.
  • Work closely with the sales, engineering, and customer support teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of competitor activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status in the CRM system. Provide regular sales reports to management.
  • Represent the company at industry events, tradeshows, and conferences to promote products and generate leads.

Requirements

  • Background in AV or technical sales.
