About the position

The Account Manager for AWS Startups at Amazon Web Services is responsible for driving revenue and user adoption among early, mid, and late-stage startups. This role involves engaging with C-suite executives and key stakeholders to ensure customer success and satisfaction while promoting AWS as the primary cloud provider. The Account Manager will collaborate with various teams to execute go-to-market strategies and sales plays, focusing on innovative technologies such as AI, machine learning, and serverless infrastructures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer success with early, mid and late stage startups
  • Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory or industry vertical
  • Accelerate customer adoption through well-developed sales engagements and successful GTM Strategy
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue and goal targets
  • Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan
  • Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services
  • Accelerate customer adoption by engaging Founders, CxO, Board of Directors and VC influencers
  • Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Expect moderate travel

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full sales cycle, technology sales or equivalent business development experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience driving new business in greenfield accounts at the C-suite level
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CP) or Solutions Architect (ASA) certified

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in engineering, computer science, or MIS
  • Knowledge of machine learning and AI technologies
