About the position

The Account Manager/Business Development Manager is responsible for driving a consistent flow of profitable new business for Atlantic Sweeping and Cleaning, Inc. This role is crucial in executing the sales and customer relations procedures that align with the company's sales and marketing plan. The individual will work to maintain and enhance the company's competitive position in the market by monitoring projects to ensure a positive customer experience with the services provided. This includes identifying and communicating specific customer preferences or requests for service to the management team and promptly addressing any customer complaints to ensure they are resolved positively. In this position, the Account Manager will meet or exceed sales goals by actively selling Street Sweeping and related services contracts. These services include parking lot sweeping, street sweeping, pressure washing, porter services, concrete repair, new installations, and equipment sales and rentals. The role requires the individual to prospect for new business by developing relationships with general contractors, builders, commercial developers, property managers, and other relevant stakeholders. The Account Manager will also be responsible for planning and maintaining an adequate number of cold and warm calls/leads to cover the market effectively. Additionally, the Account Manager will support account management in securing renewals and selling additional contracted work as needed. They will need to be aware of billing and collection statuses on all projects/customers and advise on credits and collections, working with production and customers to resolve any collection issues. The role involves preparing and presenting proposals in a complete and professional manner, following up on hard bids, and offering value-engineered solutions to customers. Conducting site inspections and assessments with estimators or production is also part of the job, as is acting as a company representative to develop community ties that enhance the public image and brand of the company. The Account Manager will represent the company at various events, organizations, and associations to build relationships that lead to new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of sales experience in a related field required.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
