About the position

The Account Manager (Business Development) at Metergy Solutions Inc. is a pivotal role focused on driving sales and building strong relationships within the multifamily residential building industry. This position involves presenting and selling company solutions, managing client relationships, and achieving sales targets while working collaboratively with internal teams. The role requires a self-starter with extensive B2B solution selling experience, particularly in real estate development, and a commitment to delivering win-win outcomes for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Presenting and selling company solutions to current and prospective clients, effectively demonstrating the company value proposition to exceed yearly sales targets.
  • Building strong relationships with key decision makers in the multifamily residential building industry, including developers, building owners, property managers, and condominium board members.
  • Prospecting for new leads/accounts and following up on sales leads and accounts as assigned.
  • Preparing proposals, presentations, and any other documentation needed to support the sales process.
  • Identifying and overcoming sales objections while accurately tracking sales activities/progress in Salesforce.
  • Effectively negotiating agreements and working with internal teams to develop client solutions, resolve client concerns, and deliver on client promises.
  • Participating in industry events such as tradeshows, conferences, and golf tournaments as required.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience working with real estate developers and property managers in a sales capacity, with experience in submetering as an asset.
  • Extensive experience in B2B solution selling with a demonstrated track record of exceeding sales objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
