About the position

The Business Insurance Account Manager at Marsh McLennan Agency is responsible for managing a portfolio of business insurance clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met through effective policy management and client service. This role involves reviewing client insurance programs, proposing additional coverages, and maintaining accurate client records. The Account Manager will also mentor less experienced employees and develop a network to assist in decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Review individual client insurance programs and propose additional coverages and limits for client consideration.
• Manage a book of business with clients that average up to $10,000.00 in revenue.
• Prepare new and renewal policies.
• Prepare applications and submissions; loss run reports.
• Manage the client renewal process within defined guidelines.
• Ensure certificate templates are accurate and up to date.
• Issue binders, endorsements, auto ID cards, and schedules of insurance.
• Maintain client records in Sagitta and ImageRight systems.
• Develop a comprehensive network within and outside of the company to assist with decision making.
• Mentor less experienced agency employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active 2-20 insurance license.
• Experience with Sagitta.
• 3+ years of commercial account management experience within an agency.
• Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Experience with EPIC and ImageRight.
