About the position

The Account Manager (Inside Sales) at ChemPoint is responsible for achieving sales goals and fostering profitable sales relationships primarily through phone interactions. This role involves a consultative sales approach within a designated industry-focused territory, aimed at developing and maintaining long-term partnerships with customers by understanding their needs and overcoming challenges to secure their commitment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with customers within assigned territory, including small/medium businesses and larger organizations.
  • Maintain an understanding of customers' businesses, including their decision-making processes, industry needs, trends, and competitive situations.
  • Work in a team-based, telephone-driven sales environment that favors a targeted, tactical sales approach.
  • Maintain and develop customer profiles within CRM.
  • Collaborate with team members to share standard processes and drive account growth.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, marketing, business, or related fields; or equivalent industry experience.
  • Sales and/or marketing experience, or a chemical industry background with a strong desire to develop a professional career.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly strong Excel skills.
  • Experience with CRM or other database systems, and familiarity with web-based applications.
  • High energy level with curiosity and a keen desire to learn and understand business issues.
