About the position

The Account Manager for Client Accounts at HealthStream is responsible for driving sales of the entire HealthStream product suite within a designated territory. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and aligning HealthStream solutions to meet those needs. The Account Manager will work both independently and as part of a team to achieve sales quotas, manage the sales process, and ensure long-term customer success.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.
  • Develop, pursue, and close add-on sales opportunities targeting each HealthStream offering to named clients.
  • Increase customer utilization of HealthStream adopted solutions and services.
  • Attend HUG meetings virtually or in person to share best practices and manage client participation.
  • Identify and qualify opportunities by aligning HealthStream solutions with client initiatives and securing executive sponsorship.
  • Demonstrate, propose, and present HealthStream solutions to key stakeholders, developing comprehensive proposals and building ROI/business cases.
  • Lead RFP/capture teams in response to requests for proposals, supporting quality response strategies and handling pricing.
  • Negotiate and close business by creating and submitting contracts, negotiating terms, and transitioning clients to the implementation phase.
  • Develop and update territory plans, manage pipeline in CRM, and support sales leadership in strategy formulation.
  • Contribute to the HealthStream Sales Community by sharing best practices and collaborating with other sales team members.
  • Undertake personal and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and product knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area (BA or BS).
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Strong organizational and response skills to support efficient customer interaction.
  • Strong presentation skills and executive presence.
  • Ability to quickly develop relationships with various stakeholders, from C-suite to end users.
  • Sales experience with a track record of at least 1 year in account management and sales performance, preferably in healthcare.
  • Strategic mindset with strong business acumen and effective negotiation skills.
  • Leadership qualities to serve as a team player while taking responsibility and accountability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as SalesForce.
  • Understanding of sales in the healthcare industry.
  • Ability to present and demonstrate complex solutions compellingly.
