About the position

The Account Manager Client Services role at Optum involves being the primary contact for a defined group of clients, focusing on their success and engagement with clinical decision support (CDS) solutions. This position is pivotal in maintaining relationships, driving value realization, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and collaboration across various departments. The ideal candidate will leverage their customer relationship and technical skills to enhance the healthcare experience for clients, ultimately contributing to the transformation of the healthcare system.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain solid relationships with assigned customers
  • Work closely with product development and sales to ensure customer needs are met
  • Understand product goals and communicate them with customers
  • Deliver strategically relevant analytics to demonstrate customer value of CDS products
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure deliverables are met and promote client satisfaction
  • Regularly communicate with customers to ensure optimization plans are on track
  • Coordinate updates to the configuration and content of CDS as needed
  • Serve as a point of escalation for the customer within Optum
  • Focus on efficiency and high impact work

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of work experience in Healthcare IT, customer implementation and support, or leadership experience in the healthcare industry
  • 2+ years of experience presenting and collaborating with senior leadership and c-suite executives
  • Ability to travel up to 25% annually, based on client need

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in an account management role
  • Experience in imaging business (radiology or cardiology) or Laboratory Management
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage a book of business while meeting client expectations
  • Understanding of healthcare technology and its business impact
