About the position

The Account Manager position at Henkel is a professional sales role focused on managing and servicing steel and aluminum coil customers. This remote position involves overseeing a large strategic account with multiple locations across the U.S., requiring exceptional communication skills and a value-added approach to sales. The role includes developing sales strategies, resolving customer issues, and maintaining a strong customer base to drive growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and service steel and aluminum coil customers effectively.
  • Oversee a large strategic account with multiple locations across the U.S.
  • Develop and execute account strategies and forecasts.
  • Research and resolve customer problems, recommending product modifications and introducing new products.
  • Coordinate sales negotiations and maintain current customer relationships.
  • Perform timely and accurate tasks supporting account strategy, including product qualification and implementation.
  • Maintain the ACE project management system and prepare necessary reports and audits.
  • Continuously update professional selling and leadership skills.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Business, Chemistry, Engineering or related area or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant technical sales, strategic account responsibility, or laboratory/manufacturing experience, preferably in metal processing.
  • Knowledge of automated control equipment and high-speed manufacturing operations is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel regionally, up to 50%.
