The Account Manager for Commercial Large Property at The Hartford plays a crucial role in supporting underwriting and sales acquisition processes. Responsibilities

  • Support underwriting in the sales acquisition process for Commercial Middle Market Large Property.
  • Coordinate new business and renewal policy account management, including review and essential services.
  • Serve as the point of contact for agents, handling inquiries and requests.
  • Communicate with customers to gather necessary information and resolve issues.
  • Manage a high volume of transactions while balancing quality and timeliness.
  • Organize work based on priorities and maintain an effective follow-up system.
  • Attend regional office meetings to align with office priorities and goals.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in the Commercial Market Insurance industry as an Account Manager or similar role.
  • Knowledge of primary insurance coverages, particularly Property.
  • Experience with Large Property is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including V-Lookups and filtering/sorting.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work autonomously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree preferred.
  • Good automation skills and strong technical ability.
