About the position

The Commercial Lines Account Manager at Alkeme is responsible for providing essential support to Sales Executives and Account Executives while managing client service needs. This role involves technical support, client interaction, and ensuring adherence to service and sales delivery standards. The Account Manager will handle various tasks related to account management, including processing applications, issuing policies, and assisting clients with claims, all while maintaining high-quality service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to Sales Executive/Account Executive in analyzing client needs.
  • Accompany Sales Executive/Account Executive on prospect and client meetings as needed.
  • Complete applications and submit them to appropriate carriers, following up for timely quotations.
  • Order and issue binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and verify their accuracy before forwarding to clients.
  • Determine billing methods and invoice clients accordingly.
  • Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals for clients.
  • Review audits of policies for accuracy and facilitate necessary corrections between clients and carriers.
  • Process incoming mail and phone requests, responding promptly within company guidelines.
  • Utilize agency credit and collection policy for invoicing and pursuing prompt payments.
  • Act to save accounts from cancellation requests and notify Sales Executive/Account Executive.
  • Assist clients in submitting first claims and follow up on claims status according to agency procedures.
  • Identify exposure to loss and recommend appropriate coverages in coordination with Sales Executive/Account Executive.
  • Maintain accurate information in the Applied EPIC system.

Requirements

  • College education with a minimum of 3 years insurance experience or a minimum of 5 years insurance experience.
  • Valid Property Casualty Broker-Agent license is required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to explain complex issues and interpret information.
  • Knowledge of insurance products and their usages.
  • Familiarity with insurance markets and references to those markets.
  • Ability to manage complex tasks with various concrete and abstract variables.
