About the position

The Account Manager - Commercial Lines at Acrisure is responsible for maintaining and servicing a portfolio of accounts, ensuring high client retention and satisfaction. This role involves collaborating with client advisors to assess insurance needs, market accounts, and provide exceptional service while contributing to the profitable growth of the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and assist client advisors in decision-making regarding account updates and coverage.
  • Collaborate with client advisors to review exposures and insurance programs for assigned clients, ensuring the best fit for coverage, protection, and cost.
  • Market, quote, and prepare proposals for clients from both risk management and insurance perspectives.
  • Provide day-to-day service, anticipate customer needs, and respond to client inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Handle initial claims reports and follow up to ensure proper claim progression and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor carrier activities to ensure they fulfill their responsibilities to the customer.
  • Complete account reviews and solicit additional insurance lines where applicable.
  • Maintain customer records according to procedures and keep clients informed about changes in the insurance landscape.
  • Assist or complete other tasks as directed by platform management.
  • Provide timely, professional, and accurate communication to clients, team members, and carrier representatives.
  • Seek referrals from clients to generate new business and refer clients to other departments as needed.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members and lead team meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years of commercial insurance experience or recognized equivalent required.
  • Must hold and maintain appropriate state Property and Casualty Insurance License(s) or obtain within three months of hire.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including correct grammar and punctuation.
  • High level of understanding of accounting or strong math skills.
  • Ability to think critically and problem-solve in challenging situations.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on producing outcomes with minimal errors.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in direction and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with technology, including MS Office and knowledge of Agency Management Systems (Applied Epic a plus).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
