About the position

The Account Manager - Community Engagement and Enablement will support the RISE Homes program in California, focusing on building strategic relationships with Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and local jurisdictions. This role aims to promote community-led efforts for reconstructing resilient and energy-efficient homes, particularly in areas affected by natural disasters. The position involves a mix of home office and field-based work, allowing for flexibility and independence while driving program participation and funding into local communities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and perform outreach and recruitment across California to raise program awareness with Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and local jurisdictions.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of a CBO outreach strategy to build partnerships and drive funding to CBOs.
• Provide program-specific information to assist CBOs and local organizations in promoting the RISE Homes program.
• Attend events to build and maintain relationships with CBOs in the disaster response and recovery industry.
• Effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences across a range of multicultural audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience with California Community Based Organizations, local government, and/or Trade Allies.
• High school diploma with 6+ years of professional experience related to California CBOs, local government, and/or trade allies may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
• Must be able to pass an MVR and background check.

Nice-to-haves

• Established professional relationships with Community Based Organizations such as local disaster management and response, community service, and equity organizations.
• Expertise in residential construction sectors such as single family, multifamily, and manufactured housing.
• Familiarity with CRM systems.
• Expertise with the California energy codes, specifically Title 24.
• Expertise in business management, building construction, energy resources, or energy policy.
