About the position

The Account Manager - Construction position at ABB focuses on driving sales of electrical products within the Northern New Jersey market. The role emphasizes building and maintaining relationships with electrical contractors, achieving sales targets, and promoting ABB's innovative solutions in the electrification sector. This position is remote and contributes to the Electrification Smart Buildings division, aiming to enhance energy efficiency and customer satisfaction through effective sales strategies and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with assigned electrical contractors.
  • Plan and implement sales strategies to achieve goals and maximize market share and margin.
  • Educate customers about ABB's differentiating products through technical presentations.
  • Perform take-offs and develop cost-effective proposals from project plans and specifications.
  • Negotiate and secure project orders based on proposals.
  • Track sales leads, wins, and losses in the CRM system (Salesforce) and analyze hit-rate data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university/college (Engineering degree preferred) or GED with 8+ years of sales experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the electrical industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ABB products and experience quoting/selling multi-family projects to electrical contractors.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and work authorization in the US.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $74,900 - $139,100 annually.
