About the position

The Account Manager at HealthStream is responsible for aligning and selling the company's product suite to meet or exceed sales quotas within specific care settings, particularly targeting new senior care and non-acute clients. This role encompasses the entire sales process, from prospecting and qualifying leads to negotiating contracts and ensuring customer success post-sale. The position emphasizes building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, demonstrating product value, and contributing to the overall sales strategy of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.
  • Conduct prospecting activities within assigned accounts, including cold calling and relationship building.
  • Identify and qualify opportunities by aligning HealthStream solutions with prospect initiatives and developing customer relationships.
  • Demonstrate, propose, and present HealthStream solutions to key stakeholders, developing comprehensive proposals and answering questions.
  • Lead RFP/capture teams in response to requests for proposals, supporting quality response strategies and securing references.
  • Negotiate and close business by creating and submitting contracts, negotiating terms, and transitioning clients to the implementation phase.
  • Manage territory planning and pipeline management, updating plans and supporting sales leadership in strategy formulation.
  • Contribute to the HealthStream Sales Community by sharing best practices and collaborating with other sales team members.
  • Undertake personal and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and product knowledge.
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Project Managers to create value-added customer solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area (BA or BS).
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to quickly develop relationships with various stakeholders, including C-suite executives and departmental directors.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to set proper expectations.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, results-oriented culture.
  • Sales experience with a track record of 3-5 years of superior performance in competitive environments, preferably in healthcare.
