About the position

The Account Manager at Cox Business is responsible for retaining and growing valuable relationships with large business clients. This role involves creating technology solutions to meet customer needs, managing the sales process, and ensuring customer satisfaction while achieving corporate revenue goals. The Account Manager will sell complex bundled telephony, data, video, and internet solutions, and will act as the primary point of contact for clients, focusing on both new account development and maintaining existing customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Retain and grow large business relationships.
  • Create technology solutions to meet customers' business communications needs.
  • Manage the sales process to ensure customer satisfaction and meet revenue goals.
  • Sell complex bundled telephony, data, video, and internet bandwidth solutions to large accounts.
  • Develop new sales opportunities and identify prospects within existing customers.
  • Meet with customers to assess their technology needs and goals.
  • Proactively contact customers prior to contract expiration to renew contracts and sell additional products.
  • Develop strategies and presentations to sell complex solutions to customers.
  • Negotiate pricing and products with new and existing customers.
  • Serve as the main point of contact and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of customers' business and industry.
  • Create and maintain sales plans for assigned accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based PCs, Microsoft Office, and CRM tools.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent relationship building and business sales skills.
  • Strong written communication and formal presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years successful telecommunications, technology or cloud sales experience.
  • Knowledge of local market and local contacts.
