About the position

The Account Manager at Cox Business is responsible for retaining and growing valuable large business relationships by providing technology solutions that meet customers' communication needs. This role involves managing the sales process, ensuring customer satisfaction, and expanding the customer base through new account development and maintaining existing accounts. The Account Manager will sell complex bundled telephony, data, video, and internet solutions to large accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for clients and driving revenue growth through effective relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new sales opportunities and identify new prospects within existing Cox Business customers.
  • Call on prospective customers to develop new or expanded sales opportunities.
  • Meet with prospective and existing customers to assess their technology needs and goals.
  • Proactively contact customers prior to contract expiration to renew contracts and sell additional products and services.
  • Develop strategies and presentations to sell complex bundled voice, data, and video solutions to customers.
  • Use consultative-based selling techniques to educate and influence prospects and customers.
  • Negotiate pricing and products with new and existing customers, ensuring compliance with corporate pricing structures.
  • Serve as the main point of contact and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
  • Develop and maintain sales plans for assigned accounts.
  • Create opportunities to represent Cox in the local community and maintain Cox's presence in the marketplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in using Windows-based PCs, Microsoft Office, and a CRM tool.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent relationship building, business sales skills, written communication, and formal presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years successful telecommunications, technology or cloud sales experience.
  • Knowledge of local market and local contacts.
