About the position

The Account Manager at Cox Business is responsible for retaining and growing valuable large business relationships by providing technology solutions that meet customers' communication needs. This role involves managing the sales process to ensure customer satisfaction, expanding the customer base, and achieving corporate revenue goals. The Account Manager will sell complex bundled telephony, data, video, and internet bandwidth solutions to large accounts, while also maintaining ongoing relationships with existing customers.

Responsibilities

  • Retain and grow large business relationships.
  • Create technology solutions to meet customers' business communications needs.
  • Manage the sales process to ensure customer satisfaction and meet revenue goals.
  • Sell complex bundled telephony, data, video, and internet bandwidth solutions to large accounts.
  • Develop new account opportunities and maintain existing customer relationships through cross-selling and upselling.
  • Proactively contact customers prior to contract expiration to renew contracts and sell additional products.
  • Develop strategies and presentations to sell complex solutions to customers.
  • Negotiate pricing and products with customers, ensuring compliance with corporate pricing structures.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers throughout the sales cycle.
  • Participate in community events to promote Cox's presence and network with potential customers.
  • Develop and maintain sales plans for assigned accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in using Windows-based PCs, Microsoft Office, and CRM tools.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent relationship building, business sales skills, written communication, and formal presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years successful telecommunications, technology or cloud sales experience.
  • Knowledge of local market and local contacts.
