About the position

Sunland Specialty Insurance Group is seeking an Account Manager/Customer Service Representative to join their team in Chattanooga, TN. This role focuses on managing client accounts, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the agency's growth by maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial lines and be flexible and resourceful in their approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by handling day-to-day account management responsibilities such as billing, policy changes, and claims.
• Determine appropriate client service support for new and existing clients to build effective relationships and drive retention.
• Promptly respond to client and carrier inquiries, maintaining and enhancing the agency's relationships with existing clients.
• Issue endorsements, certificates, and evidence of property, ensuring compliance with contracts and special requests.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and recommend proper coverage to expand existing accounts.
• Quality check and thoroughly review all policies and endorsements received from insurance carriers.
• Manage the renewal process by reviewing upcoming expiring accounts and obtaining necessary information from clients.
• Participate in seminars, training, and continuing education sessions to maintain required licenses.

Requirements

• Active Property & Casualty Agent/Producer License required
• 3-5 years Independent Agency Experience required
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and other software applications such as PDF editing software, Docusign, Epay, and Zoom
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in agency management software-EPIC is a plus
• College degree preferred
