About the position

The Account Manager / Customer Specialist at RNR Tire Express and Custom Wheels is primarily responsible for managing customer accounts, particularly focusing on those with expired Rental Agreements. This role emphasizes sales over collections, aiming to re-sell Rental Agreements and educate customers about their options. The position requires extensive telephone communication and may involve fieldwork to address customer needs directly.

Responsibilities

  • Contact all customers whose Rental Agreements have expired to determine their needs and expectations.
  • Conduct follow-up calls and, if necessary, visit customers' residences to discuss accounts or retrieve merchandise.
  • Demonstrate diligence, urgency, impartiality, and consistency in account management.
  • Contact references for accounts that do not respond to calls.
  • Mail letters according to the company's mail program.
  • Recognize and create opportunities to renew customer agreements.
  • Schedule voluntary turn-ins of merchandise when renewing agreements is unlikely.
  • Handle field collections and de-installations.

Requirements

  • Valid State Driver License with a clean driving history.
  • Fluency in English is a must; fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in sales, rental, account management, or automotive sales is important for success.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as a sales agent, rental agent, account executive, or account collection specialist.
