About the position

Marketwake is seeking a highly skilled, creative, and strategic marketing leader to fill the role of Account Manager. This position is crucial as we work with clients globally, requiring an individual who can effectively identify client needs, goals, opportunities, and challenges. The Account Manager will be responsible for creating and overseeing the execution of strategic marketing plans tailored to meet client objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in marketing, branding, social media, campaign execution, and marketing automation. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a self-starting, goal-oriented approach to work. In this role, you will manage client relationships and communications, ensuring that all interactions are productive and aligned with client goals. You will conduct detailed research on clients, their industries, and competitors across multiple markets to inform your strategies. Developing a comprehensive project plan to track progress will be a key responsibility, as will identifying best practices within respective industries to create benchmarks for success. You will build a digital marketing strategy that is tailored to each client's individual needs, with clearly defined objectives that guide your efforts. Coordination of internal resources and third-party vendors will be necessary for the flawless execution of projects. You will also be expected to perform outreach and build relationships to further our clients' interests, embodying a proactive approach to making things happen. Working closely with our team, you will implement and optimize clients' digital strategies, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Additionally, you will research tools and technologies that can help our clients achieve their marketing goals more efficiently.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • BA/BS/MS degree in marketing, communications, or other related field.
  • 4-6 years in relevant roles (customer service, marketing, sales).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with and managing external vendor/partner relationships.
  • Self-starting and highly proactive.
  • Comfortable learning new software with a quick grasp of technical concepts.
  • Problem solver.
  • Ability to clearly define and delegate tactics to a team and set accurate expectations with internal and external stakeholders.
