About the position

The Account Manager for Blackwood Associates Inc. will be responsible for driving the growth and success of the company's business with the US Air Force, US Space Force, and DoD Combatant Commands. This role involves developing and executing strategies to strengthen customer relationships, source new opportunities, and close revenue in a collaborative team environment. The Account Manager will play a crucial role in expanding existing deployments and introducing new technologies that align with customer missions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and grow a defined sales territory.
  • Support the development and execution of strategic capture plans for major customers.
  • Work with sales operations, PMO, and Engineering teams to drive opportunities.
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and expand within the territory.
  • Provide timely and accurate forecast updates to meet revenue targets.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with partners (OEM).
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Demonstrate fluency in the sales process, including CRM and order processing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in B2B sales.
  • Proven track record of quota attainment.
  • Experience selling Information Technology products and/or services.
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience leading and closing enterprise deals with Federal Systems Integrators or Federal Government customers.
  • Familiarity with target accounts in the defense sector.
