About the position

The Account Manager at RSM US LLP is responsible for driving the growth of the Enterprise Managed Services portfolio by targeting and selling a comprehensive suite of Managed Services to existing clients. This role involves leading the renewal sales process, developing sales strategies, and collaborating with various teams to ensure client satisfaction and retention. The Account Manager will also play a crucial role in expanding the client base and enhancing service offerings across multiple functional areas, including IT, Finance, Accounting, HR, and Payroll.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, target and sell the expanded Managed Services portfolio of capabilities to existing RSM clients.
  • Execute the sales plan and process, coordinating all necessary internal and external resources.
  • Implement team strategy for maintaining existing revenue and driving new pursuits with existing client accounts.
  • Work with existing client accounts on new initiatives, projects, and update planning.
  • Collaborate with Client Servers to renew and upsell into the existing customer base.
  • Network with professional affiliations and industry groups to generate leads.
  • Support Partners and Directors in cross-selling additional services to existing clients.
  • Develop effective, targeted go-to-market plans with local and national marketing resources.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to North American Sales Organization management regarding market opportunities.
  • Develop and execute client account plans considering cross-functional service opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of previous experience selling a full range of Managed Services across several functional areas.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a variety of industries.
  • Ability to lead a comprehensive and complex sales process involving multiple internal resources and external decision-makers.
  • Experience using CRM systems for sales and/or account management planning and documentation.
  • Formal sales process training (consultative selling, solution-based selling, complex sales or related consultative selling approaches).
  • Strong executive presence and professional image with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Excellent phone communication and organization skills.
  • Exhibit strong business acumen, skills, and maturity.
  • Experience in creating proposals and Statements of Work.

  • Ability to develop industry knowledge through the use of firm data, training, and thought leadership.
  • Active network of C-level contacts and contacts throughout the Technology community.
  • Demonstrated community involvement and activity with industry associations, civic and/or non-profit groups.
