The Account Manager position within the Event Solutions division is focused on managing existing client accounts. The primary responsibility of this role is to identify and close sales opportunities with clients, including contract renewals, up-sells, and cross-sells. The Account Manager will also be responsible for providing high-quality service to customers, demonstrating solution-selling skills, and managing internal relationships with the Sales and Client Services departments to ensure complete customer satisfaction and meet sales objectives. In this role, the Account Manager will be tasked with developing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring customer issues are resolved promptly, and actively pursuing targeted Key Accounts within North America. The position requires setting aggressive revenue goals, accurately forecasting sales opportunities, and effectively managing a personal revenue pipeline to maximize business opportunities. Additionally, the Account Manager will monitor and report sales activity within the system and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and close sales opportunities with clients, such as contract renewals, cross-sells, and up-sells.
  • Present products and services information to corporate accounts.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers for accounts.
  • Work with Sales and Client Services teams to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Acknowledge and resolve customer issues within 24 hours.
  • Call on existing clients to meet and exceed revenue expectations.
  • Develop and pursue a list of targeted Key Accounts within North America.
  • Set aggressive goals for annual revenue achievement against each account.
  • Accurately forecast sales opportunities via pipeline report.
  • Effectively manage personal revenue pipeline to maximize business opportunities.
  • Monitor and report sales activity within the system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required (strong academic performance is desired).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing, revenue-generating role.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast-changing entrepreneurial environment.
  • Integration of knowledge across disciplines including relationship management, consultative selling, product demonstrations, and closing contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High degree of computer literacy is a must.
  • Experience selling CRM or CMS systems, ASP based data systems, Travel or Meeting Planning Services is relevant.
  • Ability to work with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Salesforce.com or similar contact management software.
  • Experience selling or managing accounts in SaaS/technology/hospitality space is a plus.
  • Experience working in the Event Management industry is a plus.
