About the position

The Account Manager, Extended Care role at Smith & Nephew focuses on enhancing the health and well-being of patients by providing advanced wound management products to nursing homes, long-term care facilities, and specialty pharmacies. This position is integral to the Advanced Wound Management team, requiring strong sales skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

  • Generate territory plan of action to attain and achieve territory sales goals utilizing excellent sales skills, territory management skills and customer relationships.
  • Educate end users on the clinical benefits of Smith & Nephew products.
  • Deliver sales presentations to key customers and customer groups as well as conduct product lunches and dinners for identified customer groups.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, decision-makers, and thought leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years B2B, direct selling or medical sales experience, preferably within the nursing home or long-term care setting.
  • Proven track record to effectively present key concepts and recommendations to customers in formal and informal settings.
  • Strong analytical skills to include pipeline management, territory analysis, and territory management.
  • Proven success with complex sales processes.
  • Experience selling in an environment with multiple call points and decision makers within an account.
  • Professional training program experience (i.e., Challenger Selling).
  • Must successfully complete the credentialing process to gain entry into healthcare facilities.
