Surya Inc. is seeking a smart, savvy, and experienced sales professional to join our team as an Account Executive. This role is pivotal in servicing and growing a portfolio of our largest interior design, decorator, and furniture retailer accounts. The primary responsibility of the Account Executive is to partner with customers to ensure their long-term success while achieving maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration. This position is ideal for individuals who possess a strong drive to succeed and contribute to our next level of growth. The ideal candidate will be a go-getter with a strong customer focus, capable of understanding the customer's business needs and presenting relevant solutions. A background in sales to the design or furniture channel is highly desired. The Account Executive will regularly review and analyze accounts to identify additional sales opportunities and maximize sales within the assigned territory. This includes selling all Surya product categories, such as rugs, pillows, throws, accent furniture, lighting, and art, as well as merchandising solutions. In this role, you will serve as the customer's single point of contact, working closely with them to gain insights into their business pains and opportunities. Regular visits to customers will be essential to meet with managers, associates, and designers, ensuring that all Surya products, training, and collateral are current. You will also be responsible for delivering in-person and online sales presentations and training on a regular basis, developing new business through referrals, networking, and cold calling. Maintaining customer and sales activity data in Salesforce.com and attending trade shows to connect with new and existing customers and prospects will also be key responsibilities. Additionally, you will resolve customer issues and manage or escalate concerns as appropriate.
