About the position

The Account Manager position at Span-America Medical Systems Inc. is a full-time role responsible for maintaining and increasing sales of medical products within the Florida territory. The role involves developing customer relationships, meeting sales objectives, and providing education and training to customers. The Account Manager will work closely with distributors and dealers, attend trade shows, and support marketing efforts by providing market insights.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an annual territory sales plan and provide quarterly updates to the Region Manager.
  • Develop, maintain and expand customer base, follow up on leads and maintain key customer relationships.
  • Meet or exceed sales objectives to achieve the established sales plan.
  • Ensure that the customer receives appropriate samples and literature.
  • Provide in-service education and training to all customers.
  • Assist the Marketing Department by providing data regarding new products, trends, pricing, competitive information, and new market opportunities.
  • Participate in clinical programs and workshops within your territory as assigned.
  • Attend regional and national sales meetings as scheduled.
  • Follow safety rules to protect yourself and company equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) required.
  • 3+ years related work experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
  • Solid analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management.

  • Knowledge of discharge planning and rehabilitation services.
