About the position

The Account Manager for Food Ingredients at Quadra is responsible for managing and growing sales within the Midwest territory of the United States. This role requires a highly motivated B2B salesperson with a strong background in the food industry, focusing on customer retention and new business development. The position emphasizes building relationships with key decision-makers and delivering exceptional customer service while achieving sales and margin objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Developing sales with new customers
  • Utilize internal and external resources to showcase Quadra's service excellence
  • Cold calling potential customers
  • Qualify key decision makers and their needs
  • Sell Quadra's product line through customer visits and industry events
  • Manage key customer relationships
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers
  • Meet or exceed annual sales and margin objectives
  • Assist with customer troubleshooting and optimization opportunities
  • Bring proven presentation and written communication skills
  • Manage tight timelines and after-hour emergencies
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements and developing contracts
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and scheduling
  • Conduct business in an organized and time-efficient manner

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce or Science (Food Science, Biology preferred)
  • At least 5+ years of experience in client prospecting and business development
  • Strong proven sales experience in the Food Industry
  • Proven track record of sales growth and customer retention
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to motivate oneself and adapt to new situations
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software like Salesforce
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time
  • Valid driver's license & passport
